Holy-kaboly this has been an amazing late-summer/early fall for mushroom hunting and identifying (when all goes well). We had 2 Agaricus campestris (Meadow Mushrooms) for dinner for the first time. delicious! also found an edible jelly one that apparently evaporates when cooked, and the ever faithful giant and vase puffballs.

Totally blown away by a ring of green gills, and these amazing boletus ones – one in wet rich woods and several under pines at the park. WOW! I love the pores they have instead of gills.
