Winter is here, and various holiday parties spring up, including a somewhat novel round of Krampus events. The walking mall in Winchester, VA is getting into the holiday spirit just as the cold sets in.
We dropped in at the Tin Top Handmade shop just after Krampus had chased everyone out. Oh so tardy.

And what did we spot in front of the Bright Box?

Classical music in the studio today just up the Shenandoah in Front Royal.
It is always a joy to be outclassed as a musician! Second violin for me.
Another great day with Will Shenk at National Media Services.
And there was some Bitter Liberals work as well.

My band the Bitter Liberals just played a house concert in a barn decorated with original paintings by Winslow McCagg. In true cross pollination, the show was put on by the proprietors of the Duvall Gallery where Winslow is showing. Living in a county where artists support each other like this is a joy.
For more on the show, see the One Barn posting on the Bitter Liberals website.

Playing the Where’s Aubrey show in Berryville on 1.3.15 for C Spout Run was a great joy. Performing in a room where you can hear a pin drop even though there are 80 people there actively listening is simply magical. We love living our music for you.
In the 22 song set list, 14 of the songs were brand new. We will be recording them in February. Michael Hobert shot a bunch of video (click on the song titles below).
SET ONE
Now that the Past is Gone (from Always Near Empty)
Brown Like Your Cinnamon (a pair from Blue21A)
Break It Apart (a pair from Blue21A)
Five Swimming Pools of Whiskey (from Blue21A)
Breathe the Mountain Air
The Miles Roll By
Don’t Set Me Down
It’s Hard To Imagine
All of the Ways that we Tried
A Blue Blue Day
Falling Down Like Rain

Holes in my Pride (from Dirt Road)
Always Rainin (from 100 Feet Above the Ground)

I’m Blue
Conflicted
Now and Always
Another Day
With the BITTER LIBERALS
Up To Heaven
M O N E Y
Devlish Situation (from Always Near Empty)

The benefit concert raised $1270 for C Spout Run who showed these videos before Set Two. Thanks to our audience for their generosity.
