The show was held in Annapolis at the Ram’s Head with a capacity crowd on a Saturday afternoon. The time feel in the venue is set to “Vegas.” Could be most anytime but definitely night time, even at 1:00pm. The food does not suck even though the ditzy waitresses are way too loud.
Robyn played a handful of the songs on the great new self-titled record. Buy it for yourself.
And some old favorites that the crowd adored.

By far the most amusing and entertaining part of the show was the “free part,” that being the part with the banter. We had to pay for the music part. Worth every post-Brexit penny.
Did I already say Robyn played some of the songs on the great new self-titled record? Well he did.

A gorgeous Virginia summer evening was just what the doctor ordered for the summer solstice party this year. Food, friends, fire, and all night music. Thanks to all who came.
This year featured lots of next gens (over 30) wandering the property. Needless to say, the keg ran dry around 3am. And they ate ALL of the cookies.
So orderly
Absinthe hour ran from 4:45-6:15. We were ushered to bed by the blue.
(Special thanks to Micheal Hobert for some of the photos above.)
Leave it to our dear friend Cyn to get us out on a Wednesday night to see Robyn Hitchcock play a makeup show. The original date was snowed out way back before the flowers came up. As always, Robyn put on a superior show. Delicious and polka dotted.
Clark and Ginger’s house that is. The hosts kindly set things up for some twenty-somethings on their way between gigs on their East coast tour (in multiple cars based in Augusta, Georgia). Ginger’s niece Bethany Davis is a great singer in multiple bands, one called “Bethany & Balducci” (see a youtube video here). This configuration included a bass player and another multi-instrumentalist.
