Leave it to our dear friend Cyn to get us out on a Wednesday night to see Robyn Hitchcock play a makeup show. The original date was snowed out way back before the flowers came up. As always, Robyn put on a superior show. Delicious and polka dotted.
Winter is here, and various holiday parties spring up, including a somewhat novel round of Krampus events. The walking mall in Winchester, VA is getting into the holiday spirit just as the cold sets in.
We dropped in at the Tin Top Handmade shop just after Krampus had chased everyone out. Oh so tardy.

The Bitter Liberals Piggy
Come see the actual Bitter Liberals themselves at the Bright Box January 8! Get your tickets.
The good news is that the Brightbox is a fantastic place to see a show. Great sound. Really nice space. Good food and drinks. The bad news is that it’s pretty far from Where’s Aubrey’s Clarke County comfort zone (not to mention New Hampshire).

The enthusiastic but tiny crowd on Friday 7/17 did manage to raise $500 for Dakota’s Dream Animal Rescue, putting Where’s Aubrey’s fundraising total up to a respectable $13,928. Thanks to our concert goers for their generosity and kindness! We had serious competition from local favorite Robbie Limon (playing outside at the new amphitheater just down the street) and the Bluemont Concert Series performer just across the street. Dang. Special thanks to our bestest fans who made the trek out to Winchester. We love playing for you guys.

Monday night in college and the arts land it was Beethoven. We went to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in San Francisco to hear the Elias String Quartet play three Beethoven Quartets. For more on what this fantastic quartet is doing, also see the beethoven project.

Playing the Where’s Aubrey show in Berryville on 1.3.15 for C Spout Run was a great joy. Performing in a room where you can hear a pin drop even though there are 80 people there actively listening is simply magical. We love living our music for you.
We had an absolute blast. Gary McGraw of Where’s Aubrey

In the 22 song set list, 14 of the songs were brand new. We will be recording them in February. Michael Hobert shot a bunch of video (click on the song titles below).
The upcoming Where’s Aubrey concert Saturday 1.3.15 is a benefit for C Spout Run and the Downstream project (both working to clean up the Shenandoah and its tributaries). (See the Winchester Star article posted below.)
