Halloween with O

Romey and O love Halloween. This year we went trick or treating at O’s house. The neighborhood was awesome. Filled with kids, costumes, great setups and even the occasional tequila shot.

Kiki!

A raccoon hunting racoon.

The banana

Bubby and the grand kids.

After some lasagna and banana pudding, we headed out for a trick or treat run. Leiden came in his carriage.

Somebody was excited.

There was, in fact, a bunch of bananas.

We even found Iulie’s second grade teacher.

This setup was by far the best…

A nice costume.

The house next door was taken over by the kraken.

Loot!

The favorite? Ramen of course.

So great to see the grand kids.

Two generations of moms. Romey, Odessa, and Leiden with Iulie.

Day one. Little sister arrives.

Day one visit required some mac and cheese and chicken nugget sustenance. Not to mention a breakfast of captain crunch (tell no one).

This time we remembered to bring the rose we made.

Little brother will be loved by all.

Great Grandma at the Kids’ Table

You might question whether a dignified woman of 86 belongs at the kids’ table. Just look.

Iulie Turns Seven

Life goes on, especially if you are a little girl. We celebrated Iulie’s birthday in the kitchen. But first some quality time with bubbie recharging batteries.

The morning came bright and early.

After presents at home we headed over to see great grandma and share some homemade strawberry cake.

Xmas 2024

It was very early, but the Christmooses were playing a game of chess. There was prep to be done (dressing the beast) during which blueberry muffins were whipped up.  Moonie had the best idea.

When everyone had gathered, it was present unwrapping time.  Pretty hilarious that the presents had been wrapped for less than 24 hours.

Of course there was a huge Lego set (as has become the tradition). This year it was the Eiffel Tower.

The Legos took well over four days of real effort to build.

Kilt by the tree.

Around 2, the roast was done to perfection with help from the new bluetooth thermometer. Excellent tech.

And it was time to carve the roast beast.

Odessa and Iulie joined us for dinner and stayed for movie night. All of the kids in one place! Very nice indeed.

Iulie’s Flowers

Iulie has grown, and so have her zinias. Last time we checked, they were about two inches tall.

The tree has grown too.

Of course we walked. Twice, in fact.

The dogs were hosed off and toweled “dry.”

Bubbie had some fun things to do.

There were fresh eggs (and lots of them). 18!

And, as always, there was the rope for swinging.

Up high.

Here they come.

Mama!

Maybe always wants in on the action.
