While nature is paramount in the Norwegian mountains, humans have develpoed some some cool habitat-ness. Also, they are so tiny compared to mountains and waterfalls!

I love these plants, and grow them in Virginia in pots and the ground, but MINE SUC compared to these huge masses of them — thick, spongey wads that you walk on and around in the high lands of Norway. DSCF0242.jpgDSCF0181.JPGDSCF0182.jpgDSCF0184.jpg

Looking over a steep steep ledge and freaking out your friends at the same time is a rush. She is panting, I am stoked.

Stardust Club, and Low-light. Kyoto.

Strolling the street of the Geisha and looking for a pre-dinner drink in low-light lovely conditions, we found The Stardust Club. Wonderful company and American Blues sung from the heart by an expressive-faced man. Perfect.

Whether worn day to day, borrowed for a special occasion, or rented just for fun, kimonos are lovely, especially when the light is right.

Bamboo in Kyoto

In a northwestern neighborhood of Kyoto called Arashiyama, there is bamboo. Walking through the grove is magical. Cameras don’t quite do it justice, but here are some pictures and videos anyway.
